Arecibo is thrilled to announce an exciting opportunity for a Director of Sales to join the senior sales team supporting venues in the Central Belt and Cairngorms Scotland. Our client is seeking a strategic, results-driven individual to help shape and elevate the market position in both regions. This is an ideal role for an experienced MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions) sales professional eager to take the next step in their career. There is consideration to flexible working with a minimum expectation for 2 days a week based on site in the Cairngorms.
Role Overview:
As the Director of Sales, you will lead the development and execution of the sales strategy for both regions, driving business growth across the MICE sector. Working closely with the senior management team, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing the venue profiles, ensuring exceptional guest experiences, and maximising revenue from both new and existing business.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage key MICE accounts across the UK market, driving growth in account performance and generating new business.
Develop and implement strategic sales plans to exceed targets, with a focus on both new business development and client retention.
Plan and execute impactful telesales campaigns every two months to generate fresh leads from the regional market.
Coordinate and manage Familiarisation (FAM) events to raise the profile of the resort and engage potential clients.
Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and market demands, leveraging this insight to maintain a competitive edge.
Represent the brand at industry events, networking opportunities, and regional business development forums, strengthening relationships with key stakeholders.
Track and report on sales activity, maintaining detailed records of account progress and performance trends to drive effective decision-making.
Foster long-term relationships with clients, consistently delivering high levels of service and offering tailored solutions to meet their needs.
Ensure sales targets, KPIs, and goals are consistently achieved and exceeded.
The Ideal Candidate:
Extensive experience in MICE sales, ideally within the luxury hospitality or resort sector.
Proven success in achieving and exceeding sales targets in a competitive market.
Strong leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and collaborate with a high-performing team.
Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills, focused on client satisfaction and cultivating long-term partnerships.
Proficient in sales performance tracking and reporting, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
Dynamic, ambitious, and ready to contribute to the resort's growth during a period of exciting expansion.
